Micro-Expression Simulator (“MES”) is a training application designed to teach, test and improve user recognition skills as they relate to the Facial Action Coding System. Developed for NRL under contract with Intific, this software is now being used to train employees of government agencies like the TSA to detect subtle degrees of emotions like fear, anger and contempt during interviews and investigations. Instructors can assemble mock interviews quickly and easily, using highly detailed, dynamically generated 3D characters that allow for an astonishing range of nuanced expressions.
